Questions in Haryana CET Exam are asked from General Awareness, Haryana GK, Reasoning, Maths, General Science, English, and Computer. The syllabus of each of these subjects is decided by HSSC. - There are objective questions in the exam.
- Exam is conducted for a total of 90 marks.
- There is no negative marking in the exam.
- The time duration of the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes.

Other than the written exam, candidates are also awarded marks on the basis of socio-economic criteria and experience. The details are as follows:

If neither the applicant nor a person from the applicant’s family (father, mother, spouse, brother, and Son) is, was, or has been an employee in any Authority of Government of Haryana/ Department/ Board/ Commission/ Corporation/ Company/ Statutory Body/ or any other State Government or Government of India. | 05 |
If the applicant is a widow or is the first or second child and his father died before the applicant had attained the age of 15 years or father died before attaining the age of 42 years. | 05 |
If a candidate belongs to a DE notified tribe-like, Vimukt Jatis and Tapriwas Jatis or nomadic tribe of Haryana which is neither a Scheduled Class nor a Backward Class. | 05 |
Candidate having experienced such that: | 05 |
One-half marks (0.5) for every year or part thereof exceeding six months of experience, out of a maximum of 16 years, on an equivalent or a higher post in any Department/ Board/ Commission/ Authority of Government of Haryana/ Corporation/ Company/ Statutory Body. | Maximum of 8 marks (No marks shall be awarded for any period less than 6 months) |
