Haryana Chirag Yojana 2026 – Admission Form, Eligibility, Last Date, Complete Details

The Directorate of Elementary Education, Haryana has issued an official notification regarding admission under the Haryana Chirag Yojana 2026 for the academic session 2026–27. The scheme is also known as Chief Minister Haryana Equal Education Relief, Assistance and Grant (CHEERAG) Scheme.

Under this scheme, eligible students studying in Government Schools can take admission in recognized private schools from Class 6th to 12th. Below are the complete details as per the official notice.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

• Student must have studied in a Government School in previous academic year.
• Admission is allowed only in recognized private schools participating under the scheme.
• Family annual income must be ₹8 lakh or less.
• Income will be verified through Family ID (PPP Number).
• School Leaving Certificate (SLC) from previous Government School is mandatory.
• EWS Certificate (if applicable) should not be older than 6 months as on 1st April of admission year.

Haryana Chirag Yojana 2026 – Admission Process

1. Recognized private schools will declare available seats on the official portal.
2. Parents/Guardians can apply for admission from 13 March 2026 to 30 March 2026.
3. If applications exceed available seats, a lottery system will be conducted between 01 April to 03 April 2026.
4. Selected candidates must complete admission between 01 April to 15 April 2026.
5. Vacant seats will be filled from waiting list from 16 April to 30 April 2026.
6. Schools must upload student details on the portal within the given timeline.

Important Instructions

• Admission will be done only in the same block where student is currently studying.
• Schools must provide receipt after form submission.
• If any information is found incorrect, admission will be cancelled.
• District Elementary Education Officer will appoint nominee during admission process.
